Health expenditure (% of GDP) shows how much money a country spends on healthcare compared to the size of its entire economy. It includes spending by the government, private sector, and individuals on things like hospitals, doctors, nurses, medicine, and public health programs—anything meant to keep people healthy or treat illness. A higher percentage usually means a country invests more in health relative to its economic size.
